How to choose a travel toy
- For the car and the plane – quiet toys without lots of small pieces: stretchy worms, magnetic puzzles, magnetic sticker books.
- For the train and rest stops – card games, mini bowling on the table and watercolours (painting is better saved for a stop than for the journey itself).
- For walks and the park – the foldable flying disc and spinning tops, which weigh next to nothing in a backpack.
- One new thing at a time – a toy brought out halfway through the trip keeps a child busy for longer than a whole set handed over at the start.
